Previous reports suggested that a Federal Register notice related to the new parole-in-place (PIP) program for spouses and stepchildren of U.S. citizens might be published today. AILA now anticipates that the notice will likely be released closer to August 19. In the meantime, AILA recommends that practitioners review information regarding preparing eligibility documents for potential applicants. AILA also provides a sample informed consent form for this program, which is now also available in Spanish.
