Homeland Security Extends Temporary Protected Status for Honduras

On December 15, 2017, the Department of Homeland Security decided to extend the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Honduras. Previously, the TPS would have expired on January 5, 2018. Now, this extension allows TPS for Honduras until July 5, 2018. Thus, the re-registration period now ends February 13, 2018.

Those eligible for TPS are not to be removed from the United States, may receive an employment authorization document, and may also receive a travel authorization. However, this is not granted automatically. If you are from Honduras or another eligible country, contact the immigration attorneys at Guirguis Law at (919) 832-0500. We can help you determine if you are eligible for TPS and help you apply.
